Fake it until you make it.

This has got to be one of the stupidest pieces of advice out there. If you’re doing something worth doing, then make sure you know how. If you really can just fake it until you make it then I suspect that:

  1. What you’re doing doesn’t really matter, or
  2. You’ve got cash to burn, or
  3. You won’t make it.

Am I wrong?
